Opera GX- The World’s First “Gaming Browser”

You may be wondering now what does this even mean?😕 Gaming browser? Is it a browser for playing that addictive chrome Dino kind of games? Well, no. Opera released the first ever gaming browser in early June,2019 and named it as Opera GX. It is basically a custom version of the original chromium based Opera browser with gamers🎮 in mind. There are some really cool features that are especially designed for gamers. But this can also be beneficial for some of the non-gamer, casual users. I will explain that later in this post. Now, let’s have a detailed look at some of those distinct features which makes this browser a special one😎.

1.Resource Limiters

We all need maximum gaming performance from the PC no matter what it costs. So we used to close the web browser once we start gaming. But now you can use the limiter to solve that problem. Here, you are provided with CPU, RAM and network limiters. So, you can actually tell the browser that it is only allowed to take a specific amount of resources. CPU and RAM limiters are extremely useful if you are having a low-end gaming PC. The CPU Limiter lets you put a boundary on how much of your CPU should be used by the browser, so the rest can be utilized for gaming. RAM limiter also works in similar way. If you are having a good gaming PC, network limiter is something very useful for you. It allows you to set maximum limits on how much of your network’s bandwidth you would like to devote to your browser. You can set bandwidth limits for both upload and download. This will be extremely useful if you want to download something and game at the same time. Network issues such has high ping, packet data loss can be minimized to an extent with this fix😇.

2. Customization

Opera GX lets you personalize the entire browser according to your likes. You got sound customization, different themes, wallpapers related to games and even animated wallpapers. Support for Razer Chroma RGB synchronization💡 is also a highlight in GX. You also get all the other personalization option that is available on the original Opera browser. According to Opera GX's product manager Maciej Kocemba, the sharp edged lines in the browser is inspired by the RGB lighting which is something always loved by all gamers❤.

3. Integration of gaming elements

Since this is a gaming browser, there should be some solid stuff here. To satisfy this condition, Opera has added some cool new things which you won’t find anywhere else. Addition of Twitch in the sidebar is a great example👏. Now you won’t miss any of your favorite streamers since GX will always notify you whenever a streamer that you follow goes live. In the GX corner, you will find latest gaming news and deals💰.

4. Other useful features

Like I mentioned above, GX also has all the other options in usual Opera version. A functioning ad blocker, Unit converter, Battery saver for notebooks, Sync data, Integrated messengers(Facebook messenger&WhatsApp), Personal news, crypto wallet, and a built in Snapshot tool. Although opera has added a free VPN with GX, it is important to note that this is just a proxy thing and not a VPN(Virtual Private Network). In simple terms, proxy is a service used by users to just mask their location while VPN do the same with encryption which will make the networking even safer✔. Another cool feature is the pop-up video player. Now you can do whatever you want with your favorite video being played in a corner. It always stays over all the apps and even games.

Long story short, the Opera GX is an all new customized browser experience that is specifically designed for gamers. If you are not a gamer don’t think that this browser will not help you in any way. Because the resource limiters in this browser will be very helpful if you are not having a powerful system🤗. Currently, Opera GX is in beta stage since this is a new concept in the industry and they wanted to know what gamers really think about it. So, what are you waiting for? Try out the world’s first gaming browser by yourself and let them know what you think about it. Link is provided below👇 Have a wonderful day!😀
