The introduction of Windows 10 in July 2015 brought some amazingly cool features that were missing in previous windows versions. Along with that Microsoft added some more useful shortcuts with its cumulative updates over the past years. Shortcuts are a combination of keys that will perform some preprogrammed actions. With that said, here are some of my favorite shortcuts for you.
1.Opening Action Center(windows key+A)
Here you can find almost all the quick settings like WI-FI, Bluetooth, brightness, location, tablet mode, battery saver, night light, etc.2.Switching Between Apps(ALT+TAB)
This one will be very useful when you have opened many apps and you have to quickly swap between them. Hold pressing ALT and tap on TAB till the app is highlighted then release the key.3.Snapshot Tool(Windows key+SHIFT+S)
The snapshot tool is one of the highlights of Windows 10. It allows you to take a snapshot of the desired portion on the screen. You can also edit it and can share it anywhere you want.4.Searching(Windows key+S)
If you can’t find an app or a file, use this integrated search tool to find it. This will scan your entire PC for your keyword and if it can’t find any relevant items, it will show you the search result from bing.com5.Locking Your PC(Windows key+L)
Use this shortcut when you want to quickly lock your pc. By clicking this, your PC will go straight to the lock screen. This one is very useful when you have to leave the system and don’t want others to access your PC.6.Game Bar(Windows key+G)
If you are a gamer, this is a must shortcut for you. Game Bar is a software that is included with Windows 10 which lets you take screenshots and record and broadcast video games. With the latest October 2019 update, you can also enable the built-in fps counter in games.7.Using Emoji(Windows key+.)
Ever wondered how to add emoji in a text field? Well, it's pretty easy in windows 10. Just press the shortcut keys mentioned above and a pop-up window will appear where you can find that one emoji like this one🤣8.Closing an app(ALT+F4)
Lazy enough to get the mouse pointer on the ‘x’ button to close an app? Then you can use this shortcut to close any app instantly. This also can be used as a shutdown shortcut if you are on desktop.9.Minimizing all apps(Windows key+M)
If you have many apps opened in the background and you have to minimize all of them at once, this shortcut can be a great time saver. You can also use Windows key+D to see the desktop.10.Some Basic Shortcuts:
